3. About

I'm Nicky Vermeersch. Since 2010 I have built and run the entire infrastructure of an international online community myself, from choosing the servers to the software running on them.

I do all of it myself:

Servers: finding and comparing server capacity, installing, configuring and securing servers.
Services: web servers (Apache, nginx, Caddy), my own mail server, forums in XenForo and websites in WordPress, Joomla and other CMSs.
Custom software: scripts and tools for backups, automatic updates, dashboards and APIs.

So I don't just know one part but the whole picture, and how everything fits together. With Afotai Digital I put that broad experience to work for freelancers, small businesses and individuals. You work with me directly: no account managers, no hand-offs, just clear agreements.
